Musa in a two- page letter to the national secretariat of African Democratic Congress observed that he has been inundated with calls from all quarters and even getting threats on his life in connection with the petition filed at the election tribunal which was done without his knowledge.
Musa also expressed dismay that the party leadership can engage in litigation on such a weighty issue without first consulting him. "It is therefore, with utmost dismay that I got to know that a petition has been filed on behalf of our party without consulting me and the leadership of the ADC in Plateau State," he observed.
The ADC Chieftain questioned the rationale for filling the petition at the tribunal when the national working committee of the party of which he is a member, at no time took such a decision.
"I am a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party. I am not aware of any NWC meeting that held and took a decision to file the petition. And even if NWC met, and took that decision, ADC on the Plateau was not consulted. It is unimaginable that the national body of the party will take such a decision on behalf of the state chapter without involving the chapter at all. We therefore, disassociate ourselves from the petition filed," the politician said.
Musa urged the national executive council of ADC to discontinue with the election petition as citizens of Plateau State are happy with the outcome of the elections in the state which has brought the desired change needed in the state.
