KADCCIMA urges Kaduna govt to reactivate industries

From the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industries Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), has come appeal that the Kaduna State Government should reactivate the ailing industries in the state.

KADCCIMA President, Dr. Abdul Aliyu, who made the call during a courtesy visit on Governor Nasiru El-Rufa’i yesterday in Kaduna
appealed to the state government to resuscitate industries in the state to create employment opportunities for the youths and women. “The state government should reactivate some of our industries, including completion of the Kaduna International Airport. The government should also facilitate completion and commissioning of the Petroleum Institute around the Trade Fair Complex area.”
He urged the governor to address the issue of multiple taxation, which he said was affecting members of the organised private sector in the state.

Aliyu stressed the need for the government to create other avenues for employment as a way of addressing youth restiveness in the state. He urged the government to collaborate with the Bank of Agriculture and the Bank of Industry to provide soft loans to small and medium scale entrepreneurs.

He requested for a quarterly meeting with the government to avail it information on the sector.
“Our role is to compliment the activities of government toward promoting socio-economic development of the state and the country in general,” he said.

El-rufa’i said that the issue highlighted by the chamber would be addressed.

El-Rufa’i, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Bala Bantex, said the state was facing financial challenges but assured that his administration would improve the internally generated revenue to finance its projects.

25 Small Scale Business ideas and Investment Opportunities in Nigeria

 1. Livestock Farming Do you know that one of the fastest growing business opportunities in Nigeria is catfish farming? The primary reason I listed catfish farming as one of the fastest business opportunities in Nigeria is because it’s an emerging industry that hasn’t reached its peak or full potential. The major players in this business are usually regional players.
